ALAIN GILLES

Il design come seconda vita. Dopo aver studiato Scienze Politiche e Marketing Management, Alain Gilles ha lavorato nel mondo della finanza. Ma bisogna vivere la propria vita. Così, grazie al sostegno morale della moglie, torna a studiare Disegno Industriale in Francia.
Nel 2007 fonda il suo studio per inseguire i propri sogni e sviluppare il suo approccio personale al design del prodotto, al design del mobile, alla direzione artistica e all’architettura d’interni. Da allora collabora con diversi brand internazionali innovativi di fascia alta.
Molti dei suoi prodotti hanno ricevuto prestigiosi riconoscimenti a livello internazionale, tra i quali: il Good Design Award, il Red Dot “best of the best”, l’IF award, il Design for Asia Golden Award, l’Henry Van De Velde Label, il Wallpaper Design Award, l’Archiproducts Design Award, e altri ancora. Nel 2012 è stato nominato “Designer of the Year” dalla prestigiosa Interieur Biennale di Kortrijk.
È stato anche membro della giuria di diversi prestigiosi premi internazionali come il German Design Award, l’Archiproducts Design Award, l’AZ Awardsm, e altri ancora.
È nato nel 1970 a Bruxelles (BELGIO).

Design as a second life. After studying Political Sciences and Marketing Management, Alain Gilles went on to work in the financial world. But one has to live his own life. So, thanks to the moral support of his wife, he went back to studying Industrial design in France.
He opened his own studio in 2007 in order to pursue his own dreams and develop his personal approach to product design, furniture design, art direction and interior architecture. He has since been collaborating with a wide array of high-end and innovative international brands.
Several of his products have been awarded international prices such as the Good Design Award, the Red Dot “best of the best”, the IF award, the Design for Asia Golden Award, the Henry Van De Velde Label, the Wallpaper Design Award, the Archiproducts Design Award, etc… In 2012, he was named “Designer of the Year” by the prestigious Interieur Biennale in Kortrijk.
He as also been a Jury member in several prestigious international awards such as the German design Award, The Archiproducts Design Award, AZ Awards, and others.
